Made in Camden at The Roundhouse

Located in Camden, London, the grade II former railway turntable engine shed (or Roundhouse) built in 1847 is today one of Londons greatest music venue. The Roundhouse has hosted the BBC Electric Proms, and also ceremonies such as the BT Digital Music Awards Modus worked with Michael Sodeau who designed the interior, and were responsible for the development of a new chair and table for the project, banquet seating, bars, architectural joinery, ceilings and lighting.

A stunning installation of the new PLC chair by PearsonLloyd is now on show in our Clerkenwell showroom for London Design Festival. The eye catching display features 36 one off colours exclusively produced for the event.

Modus have partnered with leading textile manufacturer Kvadrat to upholster the chairs in their beautiful Divina fabric, colour matched by Natural Colour System (NCS) to create a striking display of multi-coloured chairs. Each design is being be auctioned through sealed offers online and in our showroom.

Modus PechaKucha is back with an impressive line up of speakers. Chaired by Johanna Agerman (Deputy editor of Icon Magazine), other speakers include Christophe Pillet, Tom Lloyd, Eero Koivisto (CKR), Antonia Ward, William Knight (London Design Festival), Sophia Wood and William Russell (Pentagram).

Held on Tuesday 21 September, 6.30pm – 7.30pm, the talks will be fun and informal with a simple presentation format of 20 images x 20 seconds. Drinks will follow.
