The London Design Festival will see Modus at designjunction in its new, permanent venue at King’s Cross. Exhibiting in Cubitt house, alongside over two hundred leading design brands, Modus will be showing new ranges by Michael Sodeau and Jonathan Prestwich.

EDIT by Designjunction 2014 was set against the historic backdrop of Palazzo Morando, in the heart of Milan's fashion district. At the show, we launched our new projects including collaborations with Britain's foremost product designer, Sir Kenneth Grange, and Jack Smith and along two new chairs by Michael Sodeau and Jonathan Prestwich.

As part of the London Design Festival and Clerkenwell Design Quarter we hosted Out of Sight: an exhibition of photography by Angela Moore. We commissioned Angela to shoot a series of landscapes around Somerset; the resulting images appear in our new catalogue designed by Studio Small.

Designjunction 2013 was held at the Old Sorting Office, New Oxford Street for the second year running. At the show, we unveiled the new Bloom range of tables from Magnus Long, as well as Michael Sodeau’s new Noughts and Crosses tables. Designjunction was also people’s first chance to see the Hem chair, Norse chair and Geta sofas in the UK.

Along with all this we also built and furnished Jamie Oliver’s Barbecoa restaurant on site. Our PLC Chairs and Noughts and crosses stools and tables furnished the space whilst Barbecoa served signature favourites such as pit smoked pork sandwiches and smoked short ribs with chipotle tomato salsa.

This year’s designjunction restaurant will again be brought to you by Modus, this time in conjunction with Jamie Oliver’s barbecue steakhouse, Barbecoa. Michael Sodeau will create the restaurant using natural timber to enhance the raw space of The Sorting Office. Modus’ PLC furniture and Noughts and Crosses bar stools and tables will complete the restaurant’s interior.

The Joy of Living (Part 2) project to raise funds for the Maggie's cancer charity attracted a huge amount of interest during designjunction. Designers submitted customised products, which were exhibited then sold in a charity auction. Modus' donated the PLC lounge chair customised by PearsonLloyd, who originally designed this classic design piece.
