Award-winning British design company Modus will debut their latest furniture collection at London’s premier design, architecture and hotel exhibition - Sleep 2010.
One of the main attractions on show will be the PLC collection designed by PearsonLloyd. The dining chair, first launched in Milan in April this year, is a sturdy wooden chair which marries style and simplicity while offering a modern take on the archetypal wooden café chair.
Launched in September and also on display, is the PLC lounge chair and PLC collection of tables. The lounge chair’s distinct design is an oversized backrest, low seat and defined ergonomics. Both the dining and lounge chairs are available in a variety of finishes and colours, the seat and back can be painted or wood, or upholstered in any choice of fabrics. The dining chair is also available with optional arms. The tables complement each of the seating designs, with a low coffee table and dining height in the collection. PLC is suitable for a variety of different projects from hospitality and restaurants, to soft contract and residential use.
The recently launched Ten sofa by Michael Sodeau is a generously proportioned sofa design made from a combination of solid beech and birch ply frame, with deep feather cushions. The collection consists of an armchair, two and three seat sofa. The refined frame, oversized seat depth and generously filled feather cushions provide ultimate comfort. This seating collection has been designed for soft contract and residential markets.
Another highlight is the Dune side chair designed by Monica Forster. This chair has a fully upholstered seat and back, and is available with a pedestal base, ski base and tapered oak legs. Other products featured at Sleep are: Fold table, made from laser cut, folded steel forming a seamless base with an elegant matt powder coat finish. Wrap chair by Simon Pengelly and Multi bar stools by Michael Sodeau.
