Take A Seat

— 28 May 2020

Despite having big plans, in this, our 20th year, unique events, that are impacting us all, forced us to switch tack at the last moment and launch our new portfolio of seating across the digital sphere. The ranges have received very positive feedback so we thought we would just do a quick round up of our new ranges in case one passed you by during lockdown. While our 20 year celebrations will have to wait, we are happy to be able to share with you our new designs and the fruits of our team’s labour.

Draft is a refined collection of chairs, sofas and tables from acclaimed London design studio PearsonLloyd. Slender arms and sleek lines make Draft easy on the eye, and being made from start to finish in Somerset keeps furniture miles to a minimum, making Draft easy on the planet too.

The March Lite stacking chair takes the best features of the original March chair and updates them for 2020. Sir Kenneth Grange and SmithMatthias’ new iteration has a pared back silhouette, uses fewer resources, yet retains the unique design features March is known for; an ergonomically curved back rest, veneered seat and solid legs with smooth, concave dimple. Beautifully simple, beautifully crafted.

With its unstructured, removable cover and more compact shape, Michael Sodeau’s Lily Compact is a chair with a softer, more relaxed feel than its predecessor, Lily. Perfect for schemes where space it at a premium, Lily Compact has a neat footprint whilst its mono shell provides a generous seat. Removable covers, that can be purchased separately, extend life in use and enable Lily Compact to be kept bang up to date.

Terri Pecora’s new collection, Clara, is a forward looking range of sofas and chairs fit for the future. Removable covers are a good start but cushions that can be entirely removed and replaced is the next step in our journey towards circular products. Clara has the option for multiple lives, as cushions become worn out they can be purchased separately and replaced as required and, at end of life, the whole product can be very easily stripped for remanufacture.

Gorgeous curves make Monica Förster’s latest design, Panda, a perfect peach of a sofa. Entirely made in Somerset, Panda is an inviting, luxurious collection of sofas, chairs and chaises with integrated side tables whose sumptuous contours recall the seductive glamour of Holywood’s golden era.
