Virgin Management
Sustainability, workspace agility and a visual manifestation of Virgin's entrepreneurial spirit were the key themes given to furniture consultants Dodds & Shute, and architects White Red to carry out for the newly refurbished Virgin Management offices in London.
Modus worked with the two firms to provide various products from our offering that contributed significantly to Virgin's sustainability criteria.
Similarly for Dodds and Shute, sustainability was the guiding force behind their furniture procurement, and is clearly visible across the project through key achievements:
"32% of products were reused or reupholstered, 76% of new products contained recycled materials, 100% responsibly sourced wood, 94% of products sourced from Europe, 55% of new products certified for sustainability. Circular economy principles were embraced....The majority of the new products that were sourced were designed for disassembly, allowing components to be replaced or recycled at the end of their lifecycle." - Dodds & Shute
The large Mix boardroom table is custom painted in Virgin's signature red, with cable management and cable covers in place for functionality.
PLC Stools surround VWork High tables within canteen and breakout areas. The PLC Stools were selected with colours from our standard and wide range of paint colours with matching fabrics to create a monochrome finish.
The VWork high tables iconic V shape holds power integration to allow for seamless transitions across workspaces.
All products are FSC certified and are finished with low VOC paints, glues and varnishes to adhere to the projects strict sustainability standards.
